For a hydrocarbon accounting system to be successful, the implementation project is key. It is never as simple as taking a product off the shelf, installing it and training users, because every company has its own unique requirements.

The arrangement of wells, plant and instrumentation, the details of commercial agreements and the demands of regulators all have to be accommodated. The solution must be moulded to fit the shape of the business. The full potential of the product will only be realised if this implementation is carried out well.

We have a project delivery methodology designed specifically for implementing Axis, developed and refined over many different client projects. Our processes emphasise the importance of managing requirements and stakeholder needs and expectations throughout the lifecycle of the project. We place much emphasis on managing project communications. We work closely with you, the customer, to agree a communications plan that ensures the important information about the project, including progress, risk, issues and dependencies, gets to the right stakeholders at the right time. Our methodology is certified through the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) as conforming to standard BS-EN ISO 9001:2015.

Alternatively, a customer’s internal team or third-party consultants carry out the implementation. This may be necessary to comply with local content regulations. It also means independence between the software provider and the system integrator. We have relationships with implementation partners who are experienced at configuring Axis and can act as system integrators.
