The contract is the largest Adept has secured since it was set up in 2006 and has allowed the firm to take on six more employees, taking its headcount to 12.
Adept will build and supply an integrated production management system for Culzean. It will also provide support and maintenance services until 2027.
Adept managing director Richard Alderson said: “Hydrocarbon accounting is the cash register of any oil and gas operator’s business; fully auditable software is essential in determining and forecasting the production values of every well and field out there.
“However, the complexity of production can make accurate accounting difficult to achieve. As hydrocarbon accounting specialists, we’ve created AXIS to process complex production data.
“Our design methodology – agile customisation of a lean core product – enables a rapid implementation, a comprehensive match to an operator’s unique requirements and low total cost of ownership.”
Culzean lies about 145 miles east of Aberdeen and will produce between 60,000 and 90,000 barrels of oil equivalent at plateau for at least 13 years.
Maersk Oil, which operates the Culzean field, expects first oil in 2019.
