Aberdeen-based IT software and services company, Adept Solutions, has appointed a new technical manager as it continues to shape its team for a period of strategic growth.

The specialist in hydrocarbon accounting has welcomed Brian Swift to the role. Brian joins with more than nine years’ experience in the support, design and delivery of hydrocarbon accounting solutions and holds extensive expertise within the area having previously led a number of full life cycle projects.

At Adept, Brian will be responsible for managing the delivery of technical solutions, ensuring that all projects meet customer requirements and that they adhere to industry best practice. Brian will also play a key role in shaping the future of the company’s primary product, Axis, and will be looking to develop new functionality to increase its offering to both current and prospective clients.

Brian’s wide skill set includes expert knowledge of a range of software development and web technologies, with coverage of both the Microsoft and Oracle technology stacks. With various degrees in both information technology and psychology, Brian is well placed to provide a mix of technical expertise and understanding.
